Mr. Philippe Borremans
On 7th June 2012, the European Livestock and Meat Trades Union (UECBV) General Assembly unanimously elected Philippe Borremans President.

Of Belgian nationality, Ph. Borremans was born in 1961. He has a Civil Engineering degree.

In 1978 he started his career joining the VIANGRO family company, a major player on the Belgian food market.
He is now the CEO of the company.

Along with these activities, Ph. Borremans chaired the YEMCo (Young European Meat committee), and acted as Treasurer of UECBV (European Livestock and Meat Trades Union) for six years.

Since June 2012, Ph. Borremans has been the President of UECBV (European Livestock and Meat Trades Union).

Ph. Borremans speaks French (mother language), Dutch and English.

The president chairs the general assembly, plenary board and steering committee meetings.

The past presidents were:
  • Laurent Spanghero (FR) from 2000 until 2012,
  • Antono Anoro Pascual (ES) from 1990 until 2000,
  • Ferdinando Bertolazzi (IT) from 1980 until 1990.
