Organisation
Brought together within the UECBV are:
- an international association i.e. the European Association of Livestock Markets (AEMB);
- a Young European Meat Committee (YEMCo);
- the European Natural Sausage Casings Association (ENSCA)
- the European Egg, Poultry and Game Association (EPEGA)
- the Organisation of European Shipsuppliers (OCEAN)
- forty-seven national or regional federations in the twenty-seven Member States of the European Union and also in Croatia, Norway, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, and Turkey.
In total, some 20,000 firms of all sizes and 230,000 jobs are represented within the UECBV through its national member federations.
The UECBV's organs are:
- an annual general Assembly,
- a Board,
- a Brussels-located standing secretariat;
- workshops attended by experts designated by the national federations.
The UECBV is a member of:
- the Advisory Committee on Common Agricultural Policy (CAP);
- the Advisory Committee on Livestock Products;
- the Advisory Committee on Quality of Agricultural Products;
- the Advisory Committee on Environment;
- the Standing Group on Beef and Veal;
- the Standing Group on Sheep- and Goatmeat;
- the Standing Group on Pigmeat;
- the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) Stakeholders Consultative Group on Emerging Risks.
