YEMCo is the Young European Meat Committee
of the UECBV – the European Livestock and Meat Trading Union. YEMCo serves as the leading think tank
of over 200 young executives and managers of European commercial and industrial firms engaged in livestock and meat business across Europe.
The objectives of YEMCo:
- Prime forum for exchanging ideas and experiences amongst members at European level.
- Analysis of all key areas in relation to the meat industry (e.g. consumption pattern, retail, technology, international trade, food safety etc.).
- Elaboration of proposals accompanied with concrete recommendations.
- Development of methods and models to increase competitiveness and profitability of the members’ enterprises and the European meat industry.
- Establishment of a wide network of young professionals in the European meat industry, allowing for cross-border cooperation and greater business opportunities.

How to find out more?
There is no membership or formal affiliation necessary to get involved. As a manager or worker in the European Meat and Livestock industry, you are automatically a Friend of YEMCo
and you can participate in our conferences and meetings. To stay informed, register for the YEMCo Newsletter which keeps you up to date with the latest news on conferences, events etc. Simply send an E-mail to info@uecbv.eu to register. Your name and company will then be added to our database and can be listed on our YEMCo website for free (free advertising!). This will also facilitate networking.
Can I sponsor YEMCo?
